NARHA is a national  nonprofit organization that promotes the benefit of the horse for individuals  with physical, emotional and learning  disabilities. Formed in 1969, the North  American Riding for the Handicapped Association  (NARHA) is a membership organization that fosters safe, professional, ethical and therapeutic equine activities through education, communication, and research for people with and  without disabilities. Among the services that NARHA provides to riding centers is an  accreditation program designed to ensure the highest safety standards, instructor certification, and low-cost liability insurance. www.NARHA.org
